Welcome to our Church!
Our assembly is located in Tsunashima, Yokohama.

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." - Romans 15:13
History
Our assembly is called the Gathering of Believers in Christ. We have meeting places in five locations across Japan: Yokohama, Tokyo, Kyoto, Ogaki, and Morioka.
Our roots can be traced back to the Plymouth Brethren, a Protestant movement that began in England around 1845. The first assembly in Japan was established in 1922. The Yokohama meeting place was founded in 1955 and became a registered religious organization in 1985.
One of the distinctive characteristics of our gatherings is the simplicity. We do not use elaborate decorations or appoint a pastor. Instead, following the belief that Jesus Christ Himself is the shepherd of the assembly, male believers—referred to as “brothers”—take part in leading worship, prayer, and Bible study.
We come together in the name of Jesus Christ, grounded in the Word of God, and live with the hope of being welcomed into the new heaven and new earth promised by God.
Our assembly is also connected with fellow gatherings of believers around the world, including in the United States, Canada, and many other countries.
